Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Associate to grow actuarial expertise while supporting reserve valuation, financial forecasting and pricing activities. You will collaborate with actuarial partners and cross-functional teams to provide analysis and technical support informing health programs and decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree where required.
• 0-2 years of experience in related field.
• Enrolled in the actuarial student program and committed to completing the Society of Actuaries education system courses necessary to attain the ASA designation.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial, statistical and mathematical data and performs actuarial calculations.
• May assist in the determination of pricing, reserves and/or cash flow projections.
• Assists in performing rate studies used in determining rate adequacy.
• Assists in actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses and calculations.
• Provides support to senior analysts or actuaries as required.
• Retrieves and validates data for rate filings and actuarial models and assists in building model enhancements.
