Job summary

Epsilon Associates, Inc. is hiring a full-time staff scientist or engineer to join the Acoustics Group in Maynard, MA. The role involves community sound level measurements, meteorological data collection, data analysis, shadow flicker analyses for wind turbines, sound level modeling, and report preparation.

The position requires periodic field work and overnight travel. A B.S. in a relevant field and strong communication skills are preferred, with proficiency in CadnaA/SoundPLAN and Microsoft

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in a consulting environment.
• B.S. or B.A. in Acoustics, Engineering, Environmental or Physical Sciences, or Physics.
• Experience with sound level measurement equipment.
• Experience with ISO 9613-2 sound modeling software (CadnaA, SoundPLAN) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with community sound level measurement programs.
• Collect meteorological data and perform data analysis.
• Conduct shadow flicker analyses for wind turbines.
• Perform sound level modeling and report preparation.
