Job summary

Epsilon Associates, Inc. in Maynard, MA seeks a full-time project scientist or engineer to support environmental licensing, permitting and compliance projects in the Acoustics Group.

This hybrid role combines office work with fieldwork and occasional travel. You will manage projects, mentor staff, perform sound level measurements, analyze meteorological data, run shadow flicker and sound modeling, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of experience in a consulting environment.
• B.S./B.A. in Acoustics, Engineering, Environmental or Physical Sciences, or Physics.
• Experience using sound level measurement and meteorological equipment.
• Experience with ISO 9613-2 sound modeling software (CadnaA, SoundPLAN).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects within the Acoustics Group and mentor junior staff.
• Assist with community sound level measurement programs and meteorological data collection.
• Perform data analysis and shadow flicker analyses for wind turbines.
• Conduct sound level modeling and prepare technical reports.
