Job summary

Stateside Brands is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team in Philadelphia. You will manage customer invoices, apply payments, monitor receivables, and support month-end close.

The role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication with distributors and customers. This hybrid position is based at our Philadelphia headquarters, working on-site four days a week with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounts receivable, billing, collections, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with customer invoices, cash applications, reconciliations, spreadsheets, and accounting systems.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoices, credit memos, and billing adjustments accurately and timely.
• Apply customer payments and reconcile cash receipts, bank activity, and customer accounts.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and unapplied cash.
• Communicate with customers, distributors, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
• Track and reconcile customer credits, deductions, and other account adjustments.
• Maintain accurate customer records, payment terms, and receivable documentation.
• Support month-end close through reconciliations, aging reviews, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and established AR procedures.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and other accounting and finance initiatives as needed.
