Clearstead Advisors LLC in Norfolk, VA is seeking an AR Accountant to manage cash receipts, billing support, and accounts receivable activities across client teams. The role offers hybrid work with two days remote per week after orientation and requires strong organizational skills.

You will work with Operations, advisors, and accounting partners, handle daily payments, posting, reconciliations, month-end close, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field is required.
• Experience in financial services, wealth management, or professional services is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Orion, or other billing/accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full order-to-cash process for assigned business divisions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with Operations, advisors, and internal teams to complete billing and AR processes.
• Ensure timely client setup, billing information, and account maintenance.
• Post daily payments (checks, ACH, wires) and apply receipts to client accounts.
• Prepare bank deposits and maintain AR supporting documentation.
• Monitor overdue balances, research discrepancies, and produce past-due AR reports.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and lift-outs in billing/AR workflows.
• Support month-end AR reconciliations, reporting, and related accounting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls in AR workflows.
