Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking an Accounting Operations, Intermediate to manage daily Accounts Payable tasks, including check-handling, invoice processing, and defending T&E policy compliance. The role supports month-end activities and journal entries, ensuring accurate records and audit readiness.

Based in California with a hybrid work model, you will split time between in-office collaboration and remote work, reporting to the Accounting Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting principles and AP processes.
• Experience with Concur and Oracle preferred; MS Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily Accounts Payable tasks including check-handling and processing invoices/expenses.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to AP.
• Enforce T&E policy and prepare month-end journal entries.
• Perform reclasses and reconcile account balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.
