Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) is seeking entry-level Accounts Payable professionals in a hybrid role at our AWG Support Center Accounting Department. This position emphasizes attitude, adaptability and growth, with no prior AP experience required.

You will manage high-volume vendor invoices, research discrepancies, and collaborate across departments using multiple systems to ensure accurate payables and strong vendor relationships. Growth and efficiency are core values here.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. (Associates/Bachelors preferred).
• Proficiency in 10-key and keyboarding by touch.
• No prior AP or accounting experience required; strong organizational skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing, validation, and reconciliation of high-volume vendor invoices (paper and EDI).
• Research exceptions and discrepancies using EDI data, PO numbers and receiving receipts.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Warehouse, and AP Leadership to resolve payment blockers.
• Navigate multiple systems (Content Manager, OnDemand, Balances, PeopleSoft) to research payables.
• Provide ServiceNow-based stakeholder service and follow-up on inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to streamline routine tasks for efficiency.
• Work in a collaborative team and adapt to changing priorities.
