Trilogy, Inc. seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee General Accounting functions, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and the full month-end close process. The role emphasizes workpaper preparation, documentation, and leading a team to establish best practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience with GL/A/R exposure, strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and proven leadership. This hybrid role is based in Skokie, IL, with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in progressive accounting with GL & A/R exposure.
• Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations of General Accounting.
• Review, approve, and document journal entries and financial transactions.
• Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations with complete workpapers.
• Train team on reconciliation procedures and journal entry support.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes for timely reporting.
• Prepare internal financial reports and monitor accounting data.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and policies.
• Mentor and coach accounting staff for performance and development.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
