Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Must be able to reconcile accounts and perform GL analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is preferred.
• Previous experience with Consolidations and Intercompany eliminations preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables) are required.
• Payroll processing experience is required; ADP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close, which would include posting all revenue, COS and completing account reconciliations.
• Ensure accounts payable invoices are posted with proper coding and paid on time.
• Review/Prepare monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts and certain P&L accounts.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Prepare/review Audit schedules as assigned and conduct audit research as needed.
• Prepare monthly closing entries with appropriate backup and approve credit card entries with proper supporting documents.
• Train/Provide mentorship to the accounting team and participate in the hiring process.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller on monthly variance analyses.
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure Financial Systems & procedures are in place to provide adequate internal controls.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
