Job summary

Ardent Mills is seeking an Accounting Manager in Denver, CO, hybrid work arrangement. This advanced individual contributor will own end-to-end journal entry reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and coordinate month-end and year-end closes while ensuring US GAAP compliance.

The role partners across Finance, Operations, IT, and FP&A, driving automation and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in food/manufacturing, and CPA designation or

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience including month-end close and audits.
• Experience in a food, ingredients, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process documentation, playbooks, and workflows.
• Ability to develop team members through training, feedback, mentoring, and coaching.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end review and approval of journal entries for General Accounting.
• Own review of balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and drive month-end and year-end close processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Lead governance of D365 reporting and master data; ensure data accuracy and controls.
• Support internal and external audits and coordinate with Technical Accounting for complex matters.
• Collaborate with IT, FP&A, operations, and leadership to automate processes and deliver timely insights.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships and provide mentorship to General Accounting team.
