Job summary

Credit Union of Colorado is seeking a seasoned accounting leader to manage daily accounting operations and the month-end close. The role drives internal controls, regulatory reporting, and strategic data analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to implement policies, manage the general ledger, and oversee budget processes. A CPA is preferred and prior experience in financial services is desirable.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, practices, procedures, and financial reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial analysis skills, a quick learner.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end closing with journal entries and variance explanations.
• Oversee accounts payable and vendor management processes.
• Prepare regulatory reports such as Call Report (Form 5300) and FR 2900.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, controls, procedures, and processes.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive process improvements.
