A CPA and NetSuite/Excel expertise are preferred with growth in a startup-like environment. The role emphasizes ownership of close processes, internal controls, and collaboration with leadership, lenders, and tax advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience including public or corporate accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and complex journal entries.
• Experience supporting external financial statement audits.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to document processes and drive improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close process, calendar, tasks, and deadlines.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy and approvals.
• Prepare complex journal entries and disclosures for US GAAP financials.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and variances explained.
• Draft footnotes and provide supporting schedules and memos.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Coordinate audit schedules and respond to auditor requests.
• Document policies, procedures, and close processes.
• Drive ERP/system enhancements and automation.
