Job summary

Magnus Medical Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the full accounting cycle, from AP to month-end close, while leading the in-house transition from outsourced accounting. You will drive ERP migration, data mapping, and Ramp implementation, ensuring a smooth close and ongoing compliance.

You will work with the Director of Accounting, manage reconciliations, and build scalable processes for a growing biotech company with hybrid work in Burlingame, CA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, startup or high-growth environment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience taking over accounting from outsourced providers or building a function from scratch.
• Hands-on ERP implementation/migration experience (data mapping, testing, cutover).

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle including AP, expenses, billing, AR, and 1099s.
• Lead and support the transition from outsourced accounting to in-house.
• Assist ERP migration and Ramp integration, with data validation and process stabilization.
• Ensure continuity of close, reporting, and 1099 data during transition.
• Prepare financial statements and support investor/audit requests.
