Job summary

Encova Mutual Insurance Group is offering a two-opening, full-time summer internship for 2027 with a hybrid schedule in either Columbus, Ohio or Charleston, West Virginia. The intern will report to AVP-level managers and work at least 40 hours per week, with start/end dates based on availability and business need.

Pay is $18 per hour. The internship targets students who are currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours, offering exposure to multiple accounting and finance teams

Qualifications

• Completion of basic accounting courses required with at least 60 credit hours completed prior to the start of the internship
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (e.g., ability to create pivot tables, vlookups, additional advanced formulas)
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily, monthly, and/or quarterly accounting tasks such as journal entries, report generation and analysis, tax or compliance activities, accounts payable functions, and/or reconciliations.
• Support the Accounting department with cross-functional project initiatives
