Job summary

Encova Insurance is offering a Summer 2027 Internship Program for an Intern, Service Desk Analyst in Columbus, Ohio, or Charleston, West Virginia. This full-time summer internship requires 40 hours per week with a hybrid in-office option. You must be enrolled in college and have completed at least 60 credit hours.

The role covers exposure to IT Infrastructure and Operations, Service Desk support, UNIX/Storage/Network/VOIP administration, and IT Asset Management. Advantage to MIS or CS students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
• Preference may be given to MIS or Computer Science degrees.
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week during Summer 2027 internship.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming user phone calls and walk-up requests.
• Provide first-level support of various technology hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoot technology issues to resolution or elevate per defined procedures.
• Triaging incoming incidents and requests then routing to appropriate support team.
• Document user interactions, actions taken, and resolutions within the ticketing management system.
• Follow up with IT users to gather more information and confirm issue resolution.
