Job summary

CRi - Community Residences, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Senior Accountant in measuring and reporting financial activity, maintaining general ledger integrity, and assisting with audits.

The role includes reconciling ledgers, preparing journal entries, and assisting with budget analyses. The position requires an Associate degree in accounting or business and 0–2 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or Business and 0-2 years relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; high Excel preferred.
• Experience in Sage Intacct or similar general ledger application preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and disseminate monthly financial statements, such as balance sheet, statement of activities, and budget variances.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare adjustments.
• Complete reconciliations of bank accounts and investment activity; review cancelled checks and deposits.
• Prepare weekly cash flow projection to help plan liquidity and investments.
• Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Assist in preparing the monthly board package and audit schedules; explain variances.
• Coordinate annual US Census survey filings and other surveys as assigned.
• Ensure annual personal property tax returns are filed before due dates.
• Investigate outstanding checks and report findings; provide budget to actual analyses.
