Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accountant for a permanent role based in Sioux Falls, SD. This position offers a hybrid schedule after six months and focuses on financial reporting, general accounting, budgeting, and compliance under GAAP.

You will collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial information, support audits, and strengthen internal controls while contributing to process improvements and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Knowledge of month-end closing processes.
• Ability to manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate financial reports.
• Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; analyze discrepancies.
• Process vendor payments; ensure accurate accounting records.
• Maintain and reconcile Accounts Payable activities and approvals.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts; analyze variances and advise on changes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
