Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accountant for our Sioux Falls, SD office. This permanent role combines financial reporting, general accounting, budgeting and compliance tasks in a hybrid environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and accuracy with GAAP. You will maintain ledgers, prepare statements, support audits, and help streamline processes to safeguard assets.

  • Competency in managing Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, perform detailed account analysis, and investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Post and reconcile vendor payments and other financial activities to maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Maintain and reconcile Accounts Payable activities, including verification, appropriate authorization, and payment of vendors.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyze variances, and provide recommendations based on financial results.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Provide account analysis and financial information to support reporting and business decision-making.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and promote compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of financial information and completion of related deliverables.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and federal, state, and local financial requirements.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Collaborate with Finance team members and other business partners to address accounting issues and implement process improvements.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Standard company benefits include PTO, 401k match and health, dental and vision.
