The Hybrid position in New York, NY requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 2 years billing experience, and strong Excel/Word proficiency; responsible for multi-project deadlines and clear communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or closely related field.
• Two years of billing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with an in-house PC-based accounting system.
• Advanced expertise with Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and conceptual skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile governmental billing worksheets to cost centers.
• Submit billings and re-submissions through funder portals.
• Verify billed expenses are within the correct accounting period.
• Follow funder guidelines and cost manuals to maximize reimbursements.
• Propose journal entries and allocations to ensure accurate reporting.
• Track billing and payment information.
• Gather backup documentation to support claims.
• Assist in budget modifications as needed.
