The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting, 1–3 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 1-3 years of accounting, financial reporting, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record general journal entries and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, research discrepancies, resolve reconciling items, and ensure timely completion of account reconciliations.
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Model Audit Rule (MAR) compliance activities, including maintaining process documentation and performing tests of design and operating effectiveness.
• Monitor daily cash and suspense account activity, investigate variances, and prepare related accounting entries.
• Partner with Operations and other business teams to research issues, respond to information requests, support customer-related projects, and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Perform critical Accounts Payable functions, including issuing payments and preparing ACH and wire requests.
• Support GAAP and Statutory reporting, financial analysis, and account reconciliation system maintenance.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in special projects as assigned.
