Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder’s JILA seeks an Accountant of Financial Operations & Shops to manage financial operations for JILA Shops. The role includes billing, allocations, reconciliations, and back-up payroll coordination in a hybrid environment.

The position supports compliance, reporting, and process improvement across sponsored projects and university funds. VISA sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Outlook and Word.
• Exemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare biweekly and monthly Shops reports for cost allocation.
• Prepare monthly Shops billing for internal and external users.
• Prepare biweekly shop labor allocations and related journal entries.
• Prepare monthly gas expense allocations and related journal entries.
• Document Shops invoicing processes.
