Job summary

The University of Colorado System is seeking an Accountant for Finance Operations & Analytics to join the Financial Services, Finance Office. The role focuses on reconciliations, financial reporting, chartfield administration, journal entry review, payroll suspense monitoring, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, strong analytical skills, and experience with enterprise financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing.
• Education and experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive reconciliations of bank and clearing accounts.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for decision-making.
• Review journal entries for GAAP compliance and policy alignment.
• Monitor payroll suspense and support month-end/year-end close activities.
• Assist with chartfield setup and maintenance per university policies.
