Job summary

Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy seeks an Assistant Director of Academic Records & Advising to provide academic support for 450+ students and to oversee policies related to registration, degree progress, and capstone completion.

The role serves as an academic advisor across all McCourt programs, manages tools to track progress, and collaborates with faculty and staff to help students reach their degree goals through school-wide initiatives or individual cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience required; 3 years in higher education advising preferred.
• Previous experience working with students in distress and student information systems, required; experience with graduate academic programs, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an academic advisor across all McCourt academic programs as part of the McCourt Academic Advising team.
• Manage and enhance tools to assist with tracking student academic progress.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to assist students in reaching completion of their academic program, whether through school-wide initiatives or individual cases.
