Job summary

Temple University is seeking a Manager, Finance & Operations in the Provost’s Department to partner across units on financial and administrative operations. The role leads budget development, financial analysis, and reporting while ensuring policy compliance and efficient processes.

The position supports academic units through a shared services model, requiring collaboration with central offices and campus partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least five years of progressive experience in finance and administrative management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and reconcile operating and restricted budgets.
• Provide financial analysis and advice on spending trends and funding opportunities.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including purchasing, invoicing, and expense reporting.
• Coordinate HR onboarding, payroll forms, and staff changes.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements.
• Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports and audits readiness.
