Job summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters (CASL) invites applications for an Academic Advisor Intermediate to support undergraduate students across majors and transfer pathways.

You will manage a 300-350 student caseload, conduct 8-10 daily advising sessions, assist with orientation, petitions, and records, and coordinate with Financial Aid and other campus services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
• A minimum of two years of advising/counseling or higher education administration experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• General academic advising for a caseload of 300–350 undergraduate students.
• Meet with 8–10 students daily through in-person, virtual, phone, or drop-in appointments.
• Assist with transfer student orientation and advise on course selection, curriculum, and policies.
