Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking an Architecture and Engineering (A/E) Program Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of major capital projects, including Midtown Bus Terminal and Hudson Tunnels. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing scope, schedule, and budget across all design stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum five years in A/E design and project management; three years supervisory experience.
• Experience managing complex construction/capital projects with scope, schedule and budget control.
• Knowledge of Design-Build delivery and multi-contract coordination.
• Experience with submittals, change orders, payments and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee A/E activities across full project lifecycle from planning to closeout.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and monitor project scopes, schedules, staffing, design deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and agencies.
• Review design submissions and deliverables for compliance.
• Support constructability reviews, risk assessments, and design changes.
• Assist during construction with RFIs, submittals, field conditions, and changes.
• Prepare status reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
