Job summary

GEODIS in Brentwood, TN is seeking an Independent Contractor Sourcing Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting and document verification for CDL and non-CDL independent drivers. You will build a 1099 candidate pipeline to support staffing plans and partner with operations across the business.

The role requires screening resumes, phone interviews, and ensuring complete applications while coordinating with hiring managers. Our hybrid schedule combines four days in-office with one remote day weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience in regional recruiting for 1099 self-employed contractors.
• Experience in sourcing and networking to identify candidates.
• Knowledge of laws regulating use of independent contractors.
• Knowledge of behavioral interviewing.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong relationship-building.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns full cycle recruiting selection and document verification.
• Identifies potential candidates via resume review, local events, networking, and sourcing.
• Screens resumes and conducts phone screens with potential candidates.
• Ensures candidates complete full application for consideration.
• Communicates with Operations leaders through the search process.
• Maintains tracking systems and staffing reports to meet needs.
• Schedules candidate interviews and coordinates timelines.
• Follow up and timely completion of required paperwork.
• Performs recruitment advertising and communicates contract terms.
• Maintains internal job board and coordinates with external agencies.
