Job summary

Hyatt Place Phoenix-North is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, lead departments, and partner with the General Manager to deliver exceptional guest service.

You will mentor staff, manage finances, and uphold brand standards, with a focus on smooth operations, teamwork, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage) or a 4-year degree with 2–3 years, or a 2-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager.
• Proactively spot challenges and tackle them to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and support staff development.
• Listen actively, understand concerns, and maintain clear communication with colleagues and guests.
• Work with financial data to support hotel operations and reporting.
• Utilize Windows OS for reporting and operational oversight.
• Set professional appearance and grooming standards across the team.
• Maintain a friendly, service-focused attitude to ensure guest satisfaction.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
