Job summary

Hyatt Place Phoenix-North is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations, collaborate with the General Manager, and optimize guest satisfaction while protecting revenue and controlling costs.

You will supervise multiple departments, coach staff, and reinforce brand standards in a fast-paced North Phoenix setting, delivering warm, attentive service to guests and team members alike.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive hotel experience in Rooms or F&B, or a 4-year degree with 2–3 years, or a 2-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments and drive hotel profitability in collaboration with the General Manager.
• Proactively spot challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and mentor teammates through development programs.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues and guests to ensure consistency and service excellence.
• Work with financial data to support hotel operations and reporting.
