Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer for Hyatt Place Phoenix-North. Lead the engineering team, oversee maintenance, safety testing, and guest-request response to ensure flawless operations and excellent service.

Ideal candidates have hotel maintenance leadership experience, HVAC/pool/electrical certifications, and the ability to manage budgets while keeping equipment and facilities in top condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years hotel/related experience, or equivalent education.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications (HVAC, pool, electrical) as required.
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Calm under pressure.
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Marvel: Keep rooms and public spaces in top condition and compliant with standards.
• Team Captain: Lead, train, and schedule the engineering crew for optimal performance.
• Safety Superhero: Conduct fire safety inspections and drills to protect guests and staff.
• Guest Service Star: Respond quickly to maintenance requests and improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Property Guardian: Patrol the property, manage debris, Lost & Found, and keep facilities pristine.
• Trusted Ambassador: Access restricted areas responsibly and represent the company with good judgment.
