Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring for a Hy-Chi Department Clerk in a fast-paced, customer-facing food service role. You will greet customers, take orders at the Hy-Chi counter, prepare and replenish products, and keep the department clean and well-stocked.

Training is provided, and a strong focus on service and teamwork is essential. Hours include night and weekend shifts, with an emphasis on safety, sanitation, and accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• No extensive experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Review orders and ensure adequate food supply by following a production list.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products; pull items from cooler/freezer as needed.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area; practice proper sanitation and safety procedures.
