Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Hy-Chi Department Clerk to deliver friendly service, take orders, and keep the department stocked and organized. You’ll greet customers, prepare and replenish products, and ensure quality and sanitation throughout your shift.

This role emphasizes accuracy in transactions and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing orders, reviewing production lists, and maintaining department cleanliness.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers at the Hy-Chi counter and assisting with needs.
• Review orders and ensure adequate food supply by following a production list.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product and pull items from cooler/freezer as needed.
• Check freshness and maintain quality standards throughout the shift.
• Handle invoices, receive payments, and make change as applicable.
• Run the department register and provide friendly service to customers who call or visit.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow sanitation procedures.
• Remove trash and wash dishes as necessary.
• Order products and supplies and price items for customers.
• Follow dress code and company guidelines; participate in other tasks as needed.
