Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Hy-Chi Department Manager in Cedar Rapids, IA to lead customer service, department standards, and profitability in the Hy-Chi department. You will supervise staff, schedule work, train employees, and ensure optimal product presentation and pricing under district guidance.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, resolving issues, coordinating product displays, and ensuring proper temperatures and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent experience and over one year of related work experience.
• Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
• Must be able to perform physical activities including lifting up to 100 pounds, bending, and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive attitude and creates a friendly atmosphere through teamwork.
• Sets department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and profitability.
• Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, disciplines, and evaluates all department employees.
