Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is hiring a Hy-Chi Department Clerk. You will greet customers, take orders, and help maintain the Hy-Chi counter and kitchen areas. You’ll assist with inventory, food preparation, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced store environment.

Training is provided. The role emphasizes customer service, team collaboration, and the ability to follow instructions while maintaining quality and efficiency across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Develop or follow production lists to ensure adequate food supply for the day.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product and keep the department clean and organized.
• Maintain freshness and quality standards throughout the shift.
• Operate department register and handle payments.
