Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. in Robbinsdale, MN, seeks a Hy-Chi Department Clerk to deliver friendly service, take orders, and manage the Hy-Chi counter. You will help prepare, stock, and maintain product quality while keeping the workspace clean and organized across a fast-paced shift.

Training is provided; experienced or entry-level candidates are welcome. The role includes cash handling, basic math tasks, and consistent customer interaction in a deli/food service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Training provided on the job.
• Basic math and counting skills necessary for daily transactions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and take orders at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Maintain adequate food supply by following a production list and restocking as needed.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products; pull items from cooler/freezer for cooking.
• Ensure freshness and quality of food throughout the shift.
• Operate the department register, process payments, and make change as needed.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and safe; follow sanitation procedures.
