Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks a Hardware-in-the-Loop Systems Engineer to ensure operational readiness of the RSSL, supporting AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. You will coordinate with System Admins, Controls and Data SMEs, and external vendors to enable robust offline analysis and validation.

The role emphasizes modernization, automated regression testing, and lab footprint consolidation to reduce risk and cost while maintaining a secure, up-to-date HWIL environment for diverse tests.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering and 8+ years of aerospace/test/R&D experience.
• Experience with HWIL, real-time simulation, or industrial control systems (ICS).
• Ability to obtain and maintain active DoD security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a stable, structured environment for lab simulation, development and checkout for AEDC facilities (ETF, PWT, APTU).
• Troubleshoot the simulation environment with HWIL users.
• Lead Lab Configuration Management with strict revision control of hardware, software and models.
