Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior HWIL Engineer to design, develop, integrate and operate HWIL test systems for weapon evaluation. You will architect HWIL environments, integrate weapon system hardware/software, and run real-time test executives in closed-loop simulations.

You will lead system-level debugging, coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, and serve as a technical contact for customers and vendors while ensuring safety and configuration management in the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years HWIL experience.
• Experience building and operating real time, closed loop HWIL environments.
• Proficient with Linux and real time operating systems.
• Fluent in C/C++ for real time applications.
• Strong documentation of architectures, decisions and results.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of HWIL systems including simulation and IO.
• Define HWIL requirements, interfaces, and integration strategies.
• Integrate weapon system hardware/software with real time envs.
• Operate real time test executives for closed loop testing.
• Integrate high speed I/O into real time OS environments.
• Develop stimulation/emulation for flight software and sensors.
• Lead test planning, data review, and performance assessment.
• Coordinate with cross disciplinary teams for end-to-end HWIL.
• Serve as technical contact for customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
