Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an HVP Technical Operator for the 3rd shift to oversee liquid HVP production and spray-drying liquids into powder. You will perform quality checks, handle packaging and sanitation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3 years in manufacturing, ability to operate packaging and drying equipment, and strong reading/comprehension. A respirator may be required after evaluation; GMP inspections and SOP creation support may be

Qualifications

• 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Read and follow instructions, work safely, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Demonstrated ability to operate machinery in a high paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• May be required to wear a respirator after Doctor’s approval and fit/pulmonary testing.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform all duties of the HVP Chemical Operator position.
• Load hoppers and reactors with the accurate quantity of raw materials.
• Produce reactions and transfer product to various holding vessels.
• Familiar with and capable of running all equipment related to the drying process.
• Communicate with packager to achieve desired daily goals.
• Manage liquid intermediates to maximize capacity and meet quality specs.
• Manage drying parameters to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Document all production and quality tests.
• Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Sanitation of equipment and environment per Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Assist with GMP inspections and SOP creation for equipment.
