Job summary

The IAPMO Group seeks an inspector to perform inspections of residential and commercial construction requiring permitting in Florida, ensuring compliance with the Seminole Tribe Building Code and related regulations. You will review plans, confer with architects, engineers and contractors, and determine hazard conditions and proper usage.

Candidates must have a Florida Inspector and Plans Examiner license, a high school diploma or GED, strong reading of blueprints, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Licenses: Florida Inspector and Plans Examiner must be possessed.
• Experience: at least 4 years in residential/commercial structural construction.
• HVHZ experience: at least 2 years in HVHZ.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel to STOF Reservations and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of building construction requiring permitting to ensure code compliance.
• Review plans and specs and confer with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Verify compliance with Seminole Tribe Building Code (STBC) and other regulations.
• Read blueprints and travel as required.
• Maintain documentation and clear communication of findings.
