Job summary

The Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc. seeks a Building Inspector to perform comprehensive inspections of construction projects requiring permits, ensuring compliance with the Seminole Tribe Building Code and other regulations.

The role involves detailed plan reviews and coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant construction practices. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Florida inspector and plans examiner licenses, and 4+ years in structural

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Must be able to travel to STOF Reservations and work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Experience inspecting residential/commercial construction in the structural discipline.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections of building construction, erection, repair, addition, or alteration projects requiring permits to ensure compliance with STBC and other regulations.
Review plans and specifications of proposed installations in detail.
Confer with architects, engineers, general contractors, and stakeholders regarding plans reviews and construction practices.
Determine appropriate usage and identify hazardous or life-safety conditions in proposed constructions.
