Job summary
American Terawatt is hiring a Power Systems Engineer to design, model, test, and deploy HVDC terminals and transmission systems. You will work with a Principal Engineer, the R&D Engineering team, and test engineers to take ownership of power-system modeling, subsystem validation, and commissioning support.
This hands-on role focuses on solving complex power-delivery problems and turning a new HVDC terminal design into operating infrastructure, with potential to grow into broader system-level
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of commercial experience in power systems or electrical engineering.
- Hands-on experience with transmission planning tools (PSSE, PSLF, DIgSILENT PowerFactory) and EMT tools (PSCAD, EMTP).
- Experience across the full engineering lifecycle from concept through commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Design, model, test, and deploy HVDC terminals and transmission systems.
- Own power-system modeling, subsystem validation, and commissioning support.
- Collaborate with Principal Engineer and R&D team to deliver on schedule.
