Job summary

Dixie Tech in St. George, Utah is seeking an HVACR Technician program instructor to lead and develop engaging, industry-aligned instruction in classrooms and labs. You will plan, organize, and implement a robust training program guiding students to become industry professionals.

The role emphasizes updating curricula, aligning outcomes with COE accreditation, and coordinating with adjuncts and stakeholders to prepare graduates for licensure, employment, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in industry required.
• EPA 608 certification.
• RMGA certification or equivalent.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or Industry Recognized Certificate Program completion.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Teaching/training experience preferred.
• Contacts with local industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite applications.
• Strong communications and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle physical requirements as described.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on lab instruction; develop and update curriculum to ensure industry-relevant outcomes.
• Establish clear objectives and competencies for the program and learning activities.
• Prepare classroom and lab for daily activities and manage assignments and grading.
• Structure Canvas classes to support student learning and monitor progress.
• Maintain student data and ensure compliance with accreditation and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with department to ensure program budgets and inventories are managed.
