Job summary
The State of Nevada Lovelock Correctional Center is seeking an HVACR Specialist to maintain and repair a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within a correctional facility. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and secure supervision of inmate crews operating under established policies.

Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program followed by one year of journey level experience in HVACR equipment installation, operation, maintenance and repair.
- OR one year of experience as a HVACR Specialist I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment and related systems.
- Maintain and inventory auxiliary equipment and parts.
- Inspect equipment, meters, gauges, and log temperatures and pressures.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and repair components.
- Lead inmate crews and document performance; ensure security procedures.
- Install components to improve energy efficiency.
