Job summary

Wyoming Department of Corrections seeks an HVAC Specialist to install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems across facilities. The role requires performing preventive maintenance and coordinating with outside contractors to ensure code compliance and proper installation.

The position may involve on-call duties, safety responsibilities, and interaction with inmate crews. Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and air handling equipment is required, with EPA licensing preferred.

Qualifications

• Preference may be given to 3-4 years in HVAC field.
• EPA License may be required by agency.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, troubleshoot and maintain HVAC/R systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment.
• Oversee HVAC/R projects for code compliance and installations.
• Operate and maintain boiler rooms and related equipment.
• Work with contractors and supervise inmate crews for maintenance tasks.
