Job summary
The State of Nevada’s Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services in Sparks, is hiring an HVACR Specialist I. The role performs preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems across facilities, ensuring safe, efficient operation and timely response to failures.
Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, replacing filters, testing controls, keeping logs, and coordinating with maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Completion of HVACR apprenticeship or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of HVACR systems.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment and related systems.
- Inspect equipment, replace filters, test controls and log conditions.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Repair/modify components of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and replace faulty components.
