Job summary

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking an Air Quality Technician 2 to lead maintenance on HVAC systems at the Warren Correctional facility in Lebanon, OH. You will supervise lower-level technicians and inmate workers, perform skilled repairs, and ensure all work meets safety and security standards.

Candidate must have HVAC expertise, EPA 608 certification, blueprint reading ability, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification for air quality technicians.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and HVAC schematics.
• Experience with hand and power tools and welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead workers and trainees in installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
• Perform highly skilled maintenance and installation on HVAC equipment.
• Inspect equipment operation and perform preventive maintenance.
• Repair air conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems.
• Order materials and estimate costs as needed.
• Read blueprints/schematics and manage inventory of HVAC supplies.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations and participate in committees.
• Attend trainings and perform additional duties as assigned.
