Job summary

Copeland, based in Sidney, OH, is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to join our onsite team. You will work with product engineers to design, develop, and test compressors for HVACR systems, supporting both existing and new products.

You will assemble, test, and refine components, using a range of tools and fixtures. Strong troubleshooting, blueprint interpretation, and collaboration skills are essential for success in this hands‑on role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2–3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience in Mechanical, HVAC/R, Electrical, or Manufacturing Maintenance.
• Able to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Follow lab instructions to assemble or test compressors and related hardware.
• Fabricate fixtures and hardware for non-standard assemblies and tests.
• Use hand tools, power tools, cutting, welding, soldering and brazing equipment.
• Document assembly, inspection and test results accurately.
• Operate and maintain lab testing equipment and measurement devices.
• Communicate progress and provide updates on project status.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Suggest improvements to enhance lab efficiency.
