Job summary

Baker Distributing Company seeks a Warehouse Associate to manage inventory and execute daily transfers of HVAC freight in a fast-paced wholesale environment. You will procure, pick, process, and dispatch products to customers and vendors across multiple brands.

Responsibilities include order picking, quality inspections, loading/unloading trucks, stock receipt, inventory counts, and maintaining safety and equipment checklists. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• HVAC equipment experience in a wholesale distribution setting.
• Background in sales, operations, purchasing, or inventory management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
• Mechanical or technical experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; assistive technologies may be used to support this function.
• A valid driver’s license required only if driving is essential.

Responsibilities

• Pick and verify orders for customers.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy of received, picked, and shipped products.
• Daily loading and unloading of products for delivery to customers or other sales centers.
• Receive, inspect, and stock all merchandise.
• Prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Maintain daily truck and forklift maintenance checklists.
• Assist management with inventory counts and warehouse upkeep.
• Adhere to warehouse safety protocols and report hazards.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
