Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking a Material Handler I to join our Alabama warehouse. You will receive, fill, and ship products efficiently, operate forklifts, and ensure paperwork is completed accurately. This role supports stock replenishment, order fulfillment, and cycle counts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year of related experience or training.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
• Previous OSHA safety regulations experience.
• Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) safely to locate and move products.
• Receive products by unloading trucks and verify against packing lists.
• Prepare shipments, palletize, wrap orders, and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Stock replenishment, will call handling, and inventory cycle counts as assigned.
• Maintain accuracy and follow SOPs; communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
