Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR distributor, is hiring a Material Handler/Driver to support receiving, shipping, and delivery operations. The role requires a valid driver's license and forklift certification, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service.

The position involves driving company vehicles, loading/unloading, and ensuring timely deliveries to customers and other branches. A strong candidate will have warehouse experience and knowledge of inventory systems, with an emphasis

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger) or experience operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles under supervision
Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain on the job
Experience with RF scanners and inventory management systems preferred
Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry principles and practices is a plus

Responsibilities

Operate basic and specialized power equipment safely to locate, move, and stock products.
Receive product by unloading trucks and verify against packing lists.
Ensure shipments are accurate and undamaged; complete necessary paperwork.
Fill orders by picking, packing, and stacking items; log into scanning devices.
Document shipment of hazardous materials when applicable and prepare trucks for shipments.
Drive and route deliveries, perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Maintain safety standards and participate in inventory cycle counts.
